The ageing of the face is a unique process attributable to the genetic characteristics of each person as well as certain environmental factors. Face lifting is the procedure performed to revert the major signs of facial ageing. This procedure consists of a surgical technique by which tissues are carefully repositioned, producing a natural rejuvenating effect on the face and neck. When the treatment involves the forehead, it is referred to as frontal lifting or forehead lifting. This procedure can be carried out in combination with eyelid corrections.

Indications

All the following elements add years to your face:

- Wrinkles
- Deep facial lines and creases
- Sagging eyelids
- Fatty cheeks
- Double chin

Improvements are achieved in:

- Wrinkles on the forehead.
- Between the eyebrows.
- Lifting the eyebrows.
- Improving the cheeks.
- Repositioning sagging tissue.
- Treating the double chin.
- Rejuvenating the neck by tightening up the tissues.
- This can be accompanied by liposculpture and eyelid correction.

Operation

Operation The operation begins with an incision along the hairline, from the temple down around the ear lobe and to the back of the ear. After separating the skin from the muscle and fatty tissue underneath, it is then pulled up and back and the excess removed. If the eyelids are treated, the incisions are hidden in the folds, making them practically imperceptible. The fat pads are remodeled to recover the fresh, vivacious aspect of the eye.
